Hospital
Warren Memorial Hospital, (402) 947-2541, is licensed by the state of Nebraska and has a 24-hour emergency room, special care units (Medicare approved), nursery, laboratory, and ambulance and helicopter services. Physical, restorative, speech, and occupational therapy as well as fall prevention training are offered. Outpatient clinics are available in cardiology; dermatology; ear, nose, and throat; general surgery; gastroenterology; oncology; orthopedic; podiatry; and urology. Special services are provided for fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound, and vascular studies.
Rescue Squad
The Friend Rescue Squad is comprised of 12 volunteer Emergency Medical Technicians. The ambulance is hospital-based. Air ambulance service is provided by Network System.
Nursing Homes
The Warren Memorial Hospital Long-term Care, (402) 947-2571, is licensed and approved by the state of Nebraska and Medicare. The Care Center has eight private and 24 semiprivate rooms; full dietary services; monitored health care; physical, restorative, speech, and occupational therapy; fall prevention training; whirlpool; social services; activities program; chapel; TV room; laundry; beauty shop; and fully-equipped wheelchair accessible van.
Friend Care provides residential rooms, short-term stay/vacation care, day services (hourly), hospice care, respite accommodations, nursing and dietary services, activities, and medical services are accessible. In partnership with Tabitha Health Care Services, Medicare, Veterans Administration, insurance approved, and many other services such as nursing and home health aides, hospice care, and therapies are available.
Low Cost and/or Retirement Housing
Friendship Terrace, (402) 947-6371, a low-cost housing facility, was built in 1967 and expanded in 1971. This 30-unit facility has a laundry and community room.
